Masterclass Composition and Conducting
The School of the Arts in Bern (Switzerland) offers a masterclass Composition and Conducting, specifically for Brass bands. The course takes place from August 31 to September 4 and is led by the Swiss composer and teacher Oliver Waespi and the Flemish conductor and guest teacher Ivan Meylemans.
During the course, new works for brass band and brass ensembles are created, studied and performed live. The excellent Swiss Army Brass Band (led by Philipp Werlen) has been invited for this. It consists of some of the best players from the top Swiss bands.
The masterclass is intended for more advanced participants, but there are no admission requirements. Read more about registering for this masterclass on the CU-Brass website.
